I'm sure people laughed at the thought of taking mako sharks on a fly rod. People probably laughed when the first person wet-suited for stripers. Laugh now. Let me also remind you, LARGE sharks, up to hundreds of pounds, are taken from the surf. I think I remember a VERY LARGE Tiger shark was taken from the surf.
