I wonder if you got a bad lot of hooks or something. I havent had any problems with the hooks yet. Ive only used the 3-5oz models, maybe the smaller ones are different.

Everything is better on the rocks.

I had a hook straighten out on the 3/4 Ronz head as well. Also had the same thing happen on Kalins. For what I have found out there for 3/4 ounce jig heads, the Ronz and Kalins have been the best quality but have had the hook bend on a heavy fish with moderate drag. Maybe a change will be made or another product will come about.

For a good hooh with a big enough collar for a 8 or 19" bait u pretty much have to make ur own..Andrus makes one that is very close..
Try Joe SCRI

I was thinking of trying the one's andrus makes that are intended to tie bucktails on (the smiling bill type). The ones joe has don't seam to have a big enough collar. maybe I'll get a mold and play around this winter with drilling out a 3/4 oz mold to accept a 7/0 or 8/0 hook.

I haven't tried the heavier ronz heads so they may have stronger hooks, just way too heavy for where I fish.
