I love the fall sunrise over the ocean and knowing that a 50 pounder can be the next cast away. I can't stand when the birds are working and you can see the fish blitzing but they are just out of casts reach to get to them.

I love seeing blitzing fish, not something I see so much in the summer of spring for that matter.
I had a great day last fall fishing in cold rain having peanut bunker beaching themselves at my feet, caught so many bass I lost count.
I like the sunrise which helps warm you up after a cold night. I like a warm october day eating a good dinner and then getting dressed to the nine's for a cold night in the surf! I'm getting excited just thinking about it.

love fishing in the cold. fished one night two falls ago when it was in the teens and caught some nice bass in the low 20's. just feels more special for some reason
love continuing to fish at night and ignoring the daytime blitzes for the most part (nothing wrong with a good night time blitz though). i've had a great season so far and really want to put a cap on it. gonna try to make myself keep going until thanksgiving in my home waters. I usually start driving south after October but I want to see what's out there this year. Worse comes to worse getting a cod on an eel would be kind of cool.
don't like feeling rushed, like its almost over.
don't like the extra strain on the marriage, flowers get expensive when you're filling the truck up a couple times a week to fish.

The Fabulous Fall
Cool , clear nights, the better than average shot at the fish of the season, Cuttyhunk and the great fishing the fall can bring. What I don't like is the sinking feeling that the imminant end to another season is just around the corner and thinking about enduring yet another cold bassless winter

Steve got my thought:
I dream all year-- even when I'm tonging 30's & 40's by boat in Spring on Bunker-- of Fall Surfcasting at my pet places! I truly believe (& epitomize the belief) that one "30" or "40" or "50" from surf is worth 10 from boat... and 10 times 10 if from surf on artificial, esp. wood!
The worst part about Fall-- and it starts for me in early Sept.-- is the knowledge/ feeling/ fear that it'll all be over in two short/ fleeting months... and then I'll have to wait another 9 months JUST to be here casting once again!

My favorite thing about the Fall Run is the spirit of the CHASE and the heart pounding exhilaration that goes with every BLITZ and the very reel chance at landing my first 50.
The worst thing about this time of year, besides the impending departure of our beloved prey, is the fact that this year I have to be in FL for October's New .
Have ya seen all the Bunker that's still here and still close?
