LOL!

Look at the side of the Limo in that video. Local people are going to still go to there favorite resteraunts stores etc! It will open the door to a whole bunch of new businesses around the resort everyone is trying to kill this instead try and have some vision on how to make something of it.
I have been working for months with a game plan I have mega websites that are allready generating income for me Middleborotaxi.com,Middleborcasino.com,limos.limo etc! I have gotten taxi work from lakeville station people google middleborotaxi on there phones Im number 1 I get the work some one in Middleboro with a little vision and drive can do awsome.

Traffic Hmmm! I dont believe it, I dont think theres going to be any, This is not the patriots game on Sunday, The stuff you read in the papers is scare tactics I belive in fact I have 150 or more trips to CT and RI I have the experience Honest to god I never waited in traffic to get in or out so I dont see where this is coming from.

Do you really think there are that many people who gamble Sun-Thurs the antis and surrounding towns that want mitigation money will want you to believe this there will be no more than whats out there now. The Cape, I think Businesses from the Cape should pay mitigation money to surrounding towns for the traffic they generate.

All in all I see good, addictions yea maybe, but if your addicted to gambling there is stuff all around us right now to play most addicts want a quick fix like scratch tickets in the stores

i recently heard

that five new casino's are being considered for the state of massachusetts... (altogether)

and Saltheart there are groups (peta) out there that consider fishing to be a "sin Activity" too.. so it depends on your interests or perspective.

I think going to the casino and winning say 50 bucks on the slot machines and then having a good meal is a fun way to spend an afternoon on a nasty day.

Alcohol is bad because it provides your body with empty calories that get converted to fat ....but for the most part it undermines your health and then there's the driving under the influence situation too... not good.

but when have you heard of someone getting a ticket for talking on their cell phone which was proven to be more of a distraction then being drunk and stoned in actual tests.....so when " i see anyone" driving while talking on their cell phone i avoid them just as if i knew they were drunk.

Tobacco is worse IMO because it is able to float into another persons airspace
and all the chemicals used in making it burn uniformly is transfered from a smoker to a non smoker and that just doesn't happen with alcohol.

Are you kidding me, 99% of people in Prison are there because of under the influence crimes, How much does that cost the tax payers.

Drunk driving fatalities its usally the innocent that get killed.

Destroyed families because of drinking , abuse, spending, need I go on and all you think it does is get someone fat

Insurance rates on vehicles because of drinking and driving booze is Billions of dollars drain on society but we allow it.

But look at the off shoot more jobs. Police,Lawyers,Judges,Prisons,Addiction Programs Etc! Etc!

Fines = money for State, Counties and Towns A private developer with vision said Hmmm! I can open a private prison in Plymouth make a bundle from the State and so he did and its one of the biggest jails around, wheres our mitigation money.

Ciggs with uninsured health care costs who do you think pays for that don,t get me going!

Lets look at what the real problems of a Casino/Resort in the area will bring.

From the Anti's play book a 50 mile radius around the Middleboro Resort will be affected thats Saugus ma, Peabody for anyone who cares how the hell does a Casino/Resort affect Saugus come on, Lies scare tactics, All designed too scare the bejesus out of people.

Foxboro on game day has problems you have 70,000 people coming into town during a 6-8 hour stretch thats why you have traffic but wheres our mitigation money, I have to sit in that traffic trying to get a client down rt 1 to Norfolk tell me Im happy.

If I was from Middleboro I would be thinking how to make something positive of this Resort there has to be a million and one ways to get more $$$$ from this for the Town, Attractions that Hotel guests are interested in comes to mind!

Its signed and its coming so We can make the best of it or cry billions of Dollars have flowed to CT,RI lets take that back nothing is getting cheaper.

Morals forget that argument the lottery,Bingos at the church, dog tracks horses its all here the moral argunment is gone.

As far as restaurants, etc.....check out route 2 in Ct. There are very few restaurants in close proximity to the Casino's. In fact, I can only think of 1 within 5 miles of Foxwoods. My company owns 3 businesses in Preston and Stonington and I have seen local restaurants go out of business. People who work at the casino's eat at work, and the patrons of the casino are not going to leave to get dinner or lunch. As for traffic, my concern is the weekend traffic during the summer. Route 395 in CT gets pretty busy during the summer because that is when people go to the casinos. On 495, you combine the casino traffic during the summer with the Cape traffic (which can already be bad) and you are asking for problems. Again, I don't care if people want to gamble or drink or God forbid, have fun at a casino. I just don't want to have to deal with the residual effects of it on my life. And if Middleboro wants to become more financially sound, they need to fire the finance people that are in place and hire somone who knows how to manage money.

I think you need $$$$

Before you can achieve anything for any town, If you have no cash flow how do you pay your bills, look at Bridgewater there sinking fast.

I think the current Selectman of Middleboro did the best they could there is one canidate running in there recall that thinks taking out the firehouse kitchens is the way to save. that will work

None of us can speculate on the impacts its not here. If designed the right way your driving habits will not be affected.

Resorts do not want people waiting in traffic they won't come.

resteraunts will have competition isnt that what this society is built on I have people out there undercutting rates I DEAL with it by providing a better service to keep people coming back If I said Oh! No a big limousine company is coming into Middleboro no one will use me do I close the door Hell no I struggle through it and do the best I can, if your better than them you can't loose but if you have a give up attitude you allready lost Close your doors!!!!!!!

Bless me father for i have sinned

thats way to funny....

someone who is catholic should actually go to church
and to the confessional booth this sunday and confess
to the Priest that they killed and ate a fish just to see
what his response is... that would be awesome!

More power to ya Mr Macey ...and thanks for the punctuation
although in your last post you slipped back into your old habbits. (period)
