Time doesn't only heal, but it also makes you forget. Or is forgetting a different kind of healing? emotionally that is -
Forget the pain you suffered
Forget the love you had
Forget the times you shared
Sure, when you think about it or talk about it with friends.....it comes back to ya, but unless you make it your life-style.... with time, you'll forget again, and get back to the grind of trying to make money to support the family, go fishing, run out the door as soon as the wife gets home to go do
"your" thing, etc/etc/etc...and all those little <nice> things get lost until the next hard ship rolls along.
I think Mikul has made it his life-style. I too, live by that standard. I tell my wife almost weekly, , LIFE IS TOO SHORT, don't worry so much. Sure, we all worry...but you have to know when to say....F#$@# it, it ain't worth it. Enjoy what you have -
Clam, I think one of the reasons I like you so much is because I see myself in you about 50 years from now when I'm your age.
