oh man, I wish it were too easy for me!!!
I find this time of year it's easy to get lazy and not do the hardcore night eel-slinging thing because they ARE some fish to be had during the day. I have to keep reminding myself that if the fishing is good during the day, it's gonna be much better at night and large will are more likely to be around!

Flaptails right, eel fishing is waaaayy to easy. We catch 50lb fish every night to the point where we get bored with it. Spots, tides, wind etc have nothing to do with it. Throw an eel out there and catch a giant its that simple. I suggest anyone who has never cought a bass to put an eel on a hook and catch a slob while they are still here.

It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole
Where all the fish is blind

I'll take bait on this one. You need to be able to do both or there are times when you wont catch when the well rounded surfcaster will. How much you do one or the other should be based on personal preferance and what you enjoy doing more.
