Ron Arra Rod, Guided Trip by Ron and Bronco Bag Auction
Hi Everyone,
Bid on a combo offering to benefit the Haberek family:
- A guided trip with Five-Time National Surfcasting Champion Ron Arra
- Lamiglas - Ron Arra Surf Pro rod model XSRA 1203-2, a 2 piece Moderate/Fast action, 10’ rod rated 3/4 – 2 ½ oz. and 12-20 pound test line.
- Bronco Lure Bag
The fine folks at Lamiglas have been kind enough to donate a fabulous surf rod and Ron Arra is graciously offering up his time and talent to provide the ultimate surf fishing learning experience. You determine the best date with Ron for a 2008 trip at either the Cape Cod Canal or another nearby locations. It will be a fun filled fishing trip where you can learn how to really maximize the performance of an award winning rod.
Ron can help you achieve far greater distance with a lot less effort; he can also give you some casting pointers with single and double handed fly rods as well as show you techniques for spinning and conventional tackle.
The addition of a terrific Bronco Lure Bag rounds out this very special offering.
The bidding starts at a minimum of $500 and will go till October 20, 2007
A deposit for 50% of the bid will be sent immediately to Jessica Haberek and the balance will be sent the day of the trip. We will send you both the rod and surf bag upon receipt of the deposit. You may also elect to send the entire bid amount immediately…your option.
Here's a shot of Ron admiring Hab's outstanding needlefish.
Mike

I'm in
I bid $725.00
Is the rod available as a casting rod rather than spin?
|
1 @ 32 Pledge. Our beloved Striped Bass are in trouble AGAIN.
I fished through the lean years and don't want to live through another collapse of the stock.
2 fish @ 28" is ridiculous.

Big thanks to everyone!
RMS, thanks for your generous contribution to the Haberek family.
Now Ron and I will just have to get together and fish and film some of RI's late fall action -- which is about to blow wide open... at which time we'll both sign the photo and video and get them out to you (hopefully within the next two weeks).
Rich, please send me a PM with your address and we will see to it that you get the rod and bag in time for this year’s run of fish -- they should both possess major mojo and good fish catching karma...be sure and let us know what you land while using them.
A special thanks goes out to Lamiglas and Ken Ehlers (Lamiglas and Bronco Bag representative) for providing a truly terrific rod and a great bag.
Obviously Ron Arra is a bighearted friend of the Hab’s guy and his contribution is a wonderful way of saying, “Thanks for the memories John.”
Rich, I know your time spent with Ron will be fun, productive and memorable.
Mike

Rich ups the donation to $1,000!!!
I want to thank Rich (RMS) again for his generous contribution to the Haberek family. He's giving the rod, bag and lesson to his very special uncle and he has increased the amount he already won the bid for from $850 to $1,000.
This is a fine example of how the community here at S-B goes way beyond the active posters...you'll note that Rich stepped in out of the shadows of lurkedom to support a site member in a very special way.

RMS, Looking forward to meeting you on Cape in 2008. I am optimistic we can have a productive day fishing and also increase your casting distance with much less effort . Please email me at rafishing@comcast.net and we can go over your trip to Cape Cod. Thanks again Rich for your tremendous effort and gift of $1,000 that will greatly help out the Habb's Family and is much appreciated by countless members on Striped-Bass.com and many other internet fishing sites this side of the globe.
