ebay
I was raffling a few items off on ebay for John Hab's family. A guy has won multiple items and now will not respond or pay for the items. I just opened an Unpaid Item dispute so we will see what happens.

Good Luck Mike -
The same thing happened to me.
You need to go thru all the BS in order for Ebay to credit your account back, but they will.......(if you follow ALL the instructions and stay on top of it)
Again - Good Luck.

Do you want to post his user name so that anyone else who sells/buys on Ebay can be aware of him? I guess we can't stop him from bidding, but we can refuse to buy anything he tries to re-sell.

he has a very good feedback as a buyer. There may be something legitemately wrong with why he is not responding, PC Busted, health problems, Family crisis. Things like that do happen.
Before anybody goes ballistic on the guy we may want to check and make sure he truly is a scumbag.

Ebay will allow you to block anyone you want, from bidding on your auctions. just search and follow the link. I have done it to several scammers who I believe to be kids just raising hell. Trouble is if you don't take care of it, it will get expensive. If enough people block these scammers, We will be making it tough for them.

Eddie, that is not what Steve is about, he would rather the prices remain low. He doesn't like the things that cause high prices.
Glad you got paid Mike.
I hate ebay also
I hardly ever use it or even go there. but I did bid on one of your Habs auctions, guess my name

Here's another guy not to buy from:
auctionittoday137
I bought a Crack 300 from them a couple of weeks ago. Got the reel and it looked OK but a screw was missing on the plate on the case.
I let it sit for a week and then had a few spare minutes so I opened the reel up. I found that the reason the screw was missing was because the screw hole which is cast aluminum and part of the case was broken open.
I wrote to auctionittoday137 and told them. Their response was you had 24 hours to let us know...too late you are hosed.
$110 with shipping and the reel, although usable, is no longer water resistant. I am trying to figure out how to repair the screw hole.

Piemma, If you paid with Pay pal , you have 60 days to dispute the charge. just say "the product was not as described...broken when received". Some other credit carsd will also help you reclaim money lost to a scam. For over $100 , its worth following up.

I did not realize that PayPal could be petitioned on my behalf. I did pay using PayPal so I will follow-up with them.
Thanks for the heads-up.

I believe it's only 30 days and after that all they'll do is lock the sellers PayPal account.

I don't know why people cannot be ethical.
I sold a reel to someone on ebay. When he got it, he complained that the anti-reverse dog was sticking.
I had him send it back, I fixed the problem the night I got it, and resent it out the next day at my shipping expense.
That's what I would do!
Now, take this guy who took forever to pay me for some plugs he won from me. When I finally got the funds I blocked him from ever bidding on my stuff again.
The bad part is, this guy who I blocked had a "clean record" prior to the bid, so you never really know what you're dealing with.
