By dump him quick, do you mean find another sucker to take his contract off the Sox hands (and probably make the Sox pay a good piece of it) in return for two journeymen, or do you mean hand him his outright release and eat the remaining 4 years of it?
"Dump him qucik" is easy for you to say--you're not going to pay the remaining 4 inflated years on his contract
