Looks like the elves in the Tattoo Tackle workshop have been working overtime
This month’s Saltwater Sportsman Magazine (page 96) raves about the new plug, stating that they caught a New York Harbor Slam (Striper, Bluefish and Albie).
Not too shabby.
Keep up the good work Mike!
the full moon looks orange sometimes when it rises because the light has to pass through more of the atmosphere then when the moon is higher in the sky. the blue light waves scatter but the red light waves pass through...... if you were wondering.
Here is a link to a short YouTube Clip of some testing from one of the members Tattoo’s Tackle team ( Rob Taylor ).
We could see the fish in the wash, but couldn’t get them to eat anything. Perfect opportunity to test a new plug. If you watch closely, you can see the plug skipping, jumping, and zig zagging right before the fish decide they want to eat it.
A few people have mentioned that they wish it were a larger heavier lure. In the video, you’ll see that there is an 11’ Arra being used. Will it cast further than a bank sinker, no. It casts just as far as you can throw any plug that size. Don’t get hung up on casting a mile, the fish are at your feet 90% of the time. In the video featured, we actually swam to a rock, and then turned around and cast back towards shore.
During further testing, Rob went on to hang a 90+lb bluefin tuna on one. An incredible catch!
I bought one this week and just got it. Looks awesome as well as versatile. Good size presentation for bass, blues, albies, anything. I know that big plugs = big fish, but this lures action combined with versatility is awesome. I'm getting a few more. Don't let the size fool ya, this time next year I have a feeling there will many nice fish pics of various species with walking sticks hanging out of their mouths. I'm impressed.
SWE just put them on the site it looks like. I use them and love them as I too have been testing for Tattoo for some time and these things are some of my favorites after last season feeding them to Striped Bass, Albies, Bonito, and School Tuna. Keep up the great work Tattoo!
