I heard that because of the possible implications with the Pats in that last game (possible undefeated season) that they will be showing that game primetime on the regular stations.
I am all set with paying to watch football or any other sport! I ain't missing all that much without it!

Heard on the news today comming in to work how the NFL network is s#^^^^^&g wind as the games they have showed have only gotten 1/4 of the viewers that normaly watch games on regular channels.Seems viewers hate the way they are telecasting the games and the broadcasters.

it is part of our regular digital pkg in cox.
from what i understand, NFL network is owned or part owned by the NFL, and they are using this as a powerplay to get all of the cable companies to put the netowork on thier systems. i guess the cable companies have been trying to charge NFLN some big payoff type fees in order to get in thier systems. NFL is saying screw you, we will put the games on, and if you don't have them fans will go where they can get them [satelite]. Unfortunately the fan is stuck in the middle.
So, from what i understand, if fingers are to be pointed, it is at your cable provider.
FWIW, we have had NFLN for some time, and it is truly great if you are a football fan.
thier game broadcasts do suck, though, because of gumble. he is horrible.

Buying extra services suck.
I did buy the 3 months for $15 from comcast, I love football and Green Bay at the Cowboys with both teams at 10 - 1 was to much for me to pass up.
I think NFL network is free on Dish and FIOS, my days with comcast are numbered.
GO GREEN BAY!!

The blame can be solely placed on the NFL, and the NFL Network NOT your cable company!! The reason the cable company is now charging a fee for the NFLN is so they don't have raise your monthly rates, so they are giving you the option to subscribe to the NFLN for a monthly fee instead of raising everyones rates.
The NFLN is charging the cable companies 0.71 cents PER subscriber for the channel (which if I'm correct is the highest), and since the NFL told the cable companies to basically piss off when they wanted in on the Sunday ticket or something similar, I can't blame them I am glad the cable companies are holding their ground......
