I'd love to see a 40# striper - don't care how or when! Fish with BigFish and keep learning....

Well this will be my second season in the surf, I would actually like to catch a keeper from the surf on a plug that I built.

Realistically just to fis. With all the hours I worked, and a 2 1/2 yo at home finding time is tough. A bonus would be to get out for tuna

I have a spot thats perfect for fly fishing stripers. I might have to get a saltwater setup.
My hope for 2008 is that gas prices come down.

Make up for 21 years of working every weekend, by trying to fish every weekend.
I also have holidays off now, which I never had before, so spend ervy three day weekend fishing.
Fish with Mikey and #^^^^&y more (all three of us together).
I already made it through day one with no smoking, no gum, no pills, no patch, so that's pretty good.
Start fishing for winter bass without tipups!
Catch a winter bass.
Lose 30 pounds.
Enjoy my life for the first time in the last 22 years, I thank God every day I don't work in restaurants or that Hellhole Bugaboo Creek Steakhouse outfit anymore...they'll be lucky if they're still in business next year!
Anyhow, really looking forward to seeing everybody at the TFCTFN and the beaches during the year.
Oh yeah, and hit Nahant after work 3 nights a week!
Later,
Rick

Consistency
and the ability to fish the tides a little better.
My son is a little older so it should be easier for me to get out at prime times vs just whenever I can.
Also.. To catch my first tuna.

Well the wife and I have decided to move to Australia (she's from there) at the end of October, so this could very well be my last season chasing stripers. I would like to spend more time surf fishing at night, find a few more spots to do that up here on the north shore, make more trips to rhody and learn some spots down there better, fish the canal for the first time, and just enjoy myself during it all.
I almost forgot, find my confidence/comfort zone fishing darters!

Ill be putting the boat in the water this year. So my main goal will be fishing from the boat, but still not abandoning my love for the surf.
Also really learning new boat techniques. And getting a 40# from boat and surf!!

Fish with a few more people from the board. Hit some spots that I know produce but just didn't have the time to fish last year. Learn the canal a little better. Have fun with my son who is just days away from taking his first steps...............

Stay away from the internet and get caught up in the bs, just fish with the few guys I fish with, not write, no talks and get back to reality instead of the fairy land on these boards.

you always bash the internet and say you can't stand all the BS, and yet you can't seem to stay away from it. take a hike if you don't like it. No one cares about the glory days on Monomoy anyways..

My only goal this year will be to fish as much as possible with my son Thomas. He had alot of fun last year with new stuff and saw alot of neat stuff on the water that most kids don't get to experience and hopefully with some of the stuff he's learned he'll have a great time this year.
Now back to winter where's the popcorn bowl

1. Not to fall off the rocks I fish on and be safer.
2. Scout some new honey holes this winter
3. Catch a 20# on a plug that I made
4. Get the wife and little sis out for a day of surfcasting.
5. Try to top 30# (my personal biggest)
6. Have a blast the whole time
I hope that 08 brings all you guys tight lines and some big fish!!!! Is it April yet????
