this is the Lathe I made. Sewing machine motor to Stren Spool with Belt the silver piece is the Meat Grinder Attachment from a Old Sunbean stand Mixer. Chuck is Pac-Bay. PVC works also. Roller stands are just all thread with Alum Angle

the Wood bed was taken from elsewhere The Desk front rollers are what I use now
You can also buy T-Trak from Rockler supply also t -bolts and Knobs

this is another hand unit I use for longer rods 2 -3/4"X2" X6ft with a Alum track from a Bi-fold door set And a Home made thread Carrage using a Neptune thread tension devise. Small thread block is in a Dove tail slot with a Single foot guide glued in

just a shot of the Trak, These are the bolts on left is a slider I made,just alum block cut to fit with a 1/4"drilled and Tapped bolt thru.
bolt on right is just a Toilet bolt which works well with a Tee-Slot.

While driving around keep your Eyes open for Exersize Equipt out for Trash, Thats where I get the Plastic Threaded Knobs I use
