Larry, I think I can speak for jim when I say...he just sees past the BS and is not afraid to say so...The guy is well respected paid tons of dues, has written two books and over 2000 articles and done countless 100s of seminars all over the country, however if you put him on here, he would not be listened to, and for the person in the last post to say Jim would burn a spot is mind numbing, I mean the guy is 60 years old and has forgotton more than most think they know? He has an impecable reputation, I think unlike me, he is smart enough not to come on here and get abused for his point of view...something I am all to use to...But for some reason get it when its not warrented...anyway, that was a private email to me that he told me on the phone to go ahead and put it up...Jim reads this board all the time, he is well aware of what goes on if your not in the "circle" or dont comform to the cronies...its noticable to him and I am sure a few others that advice given here is only taken or listened to when it conforms to what the core of the board feels is apropriate, anyone else is called a "celebrity" "spot burner" lousy bait fisherman" etc...you get my point...Only surfcasting is good, boats suck, its cheating....that type of thing...But anyway if he wants on I am sure he is capable of doing so when he is ready...Jim is a good friend of mine and a fishing partner, I dont want him to get what I get... |

Bill all I can do is respect the opinions of those who know alot better than me! Guys like you and Jim have a long history on the water and the knowledge that goes along with that! All this spot talk is ridiculous! Fishing is not brain surgery....sure the technique of fishing a certain method and being proficient at it is the key......spots is spots and folks were fishing them long before any of us were here!

Yup agreed ! I really hope John does not take this personall because it isnt about him, the board is an entity all by itself larger than him...this isnt personall at all..
Anyway your right and get in touch this spring so I can take you to these spots that are secret and liveline some bunker! |

the rest of your speech sounds like a generalization that is taken a bit too serious, lighten up. Take what you can from a fishing website and contribute what you can, it's supposed to be about fishing not confrontational.
If you can fix the site, go for it, we all know who owns it.
