bass dawg how did you do that math?
Is this the percentage for 2007 introduced. I have seen some people on other board challenge the validity of this chart, something about years utilized.
I just want to know how it was created and why some teams have years prior to their dynasty/after their dynasty included and other have only years in there dynasty?

The Criteria is that the Teams have to have won more than 1 superbowl, have a Winning percentage above .625 for a period of time where you didn't show a steady decline over 2 years, that way it allows for a down year but not a steady decline
The chart is what it is......its during the Superbowl Era.....it did allow Green Bay to carry over into that era for sake of argument.
As far as dynasty, it isn't just looking at Superbowl wins as part of it, its looking at when you crossed the .625 mark and when you dropped below it with a steady 2 year decrease.

Dad - Thank you for clarifying. The chart makes sense to me and i don't think you can argue with it at all.
The .768 percentage is without the 2008 season in it?

You are correct, my number did not include the 2007 numbers.
And I need to change my number, as I did not include the
2002, '05, or '06 seasons. Which I do think are included in The Dad's figures.
Also, am not quite sure if Kevin figured in the post season #'s.
I'm home, sick, from work and I've got nothing but time. Sooooo, I'll work the numbers both ways. Better still, when one does add the 19-0 to the numbers, it will be Totally Mossome, if I may borrow from Fitzy!
Am crunching the numbers, now........................
The Dad crunched his numbers using the regular season only.
And he did include the '07 Season, 16-0, to arrive at .768.
So Kevin's numbers are dead on, for the regular seasons of those teams.
If we factor in the post season numbers from '01 to '07 and the Pats
do what they are supposed to do on the 3rd, then the new figure would be .783 for the Patriots. To be fair to the other teams, then I would have to figure their post season records as well, and I really don't care that much about them. Not too shabby for our PATS, and ~imho~ they will only get better as they continue this Historic March.
For me, barring any free agency craziness or serious injury, this Dynasty has at least two - three Lombardi's to still play for!! A repeat would be sweet, and the infathomable 3peat ~not since the early Packers~ would be AMAZING!!! I mean anything is possible with THESE PATS, right?!!!?
Not being greedy, just trying to find a legitimate counter for their obvious greatness and consistent dominance over the rest of the League. We may be looking and winning for a looong, long, time!
