Congrats! May states ( RI and NY among them) require a documented boat to be registered wit the state. Different reg than what is required of undocumented boats and lesser fees. Then they get you for the sales tax when you go to register the boat.

Great lookin boat, best of luck with her. Maybe I missed this but does anyone know where o go or what department to conact to get a vessel documented, in Massachusetts? I've always wanted to do that with one of my boats.

Coast Guard documentation office. They have a website with the forms, the office IIRC is in VA.
