That is a great price. As you have read in other posts, many of the guys on this site and off get bars from Skip at Hotjigs. hotjigs@msn.com Cost a little more but top quality. It would ruin his day if you lost your dream fish on a bar he built, so he takes pride in his work. He does some of the shows, will be at the MSBA show, and you can always call him and go to his house.

Have you guys tried the bird bars yet? I have not used then myself, look interesting for keeping the bar up if your not running in an outigger.

beamie,
Those bars are top quality and are used by some of the hiliners fishing for tuna. Every component and shell squid they use is premium grade. The reason FO can sell for such low a price is because they buy at a huge volume. I use these bars and never had one failure with them. If you took a poll out east or at the LL's you would see most people pulling these bars. They are one of the best bars made in my opinion. The nice thing with these bars is you pull them out of the bag and they fish. You dont need to tweak them or adjust them. Not to take anything away from Skip's product; I'm sure he make a nice rig. I just know Fo's bars are great and I have never fished Skip's rigs.
