Well said. It's a baby shower so they won't be serving booze, this is about control and you not having fun.

This is Mrs Link, I have to go to my husbands, nieces baby shower next Sunday, ( I have better things to do) and that is the last thing that I want to do!! Don't think that you guys are the only ones that don't like to go to these things!!!  |

wedding showers should be the same too, I had to go to one for one of my girlfriends friends, I think that if you're dumb enough to get married then you ought to take it by yourself and not drag other guys down with you as everyone always asks me when I'm gonna give her the ring at these things which usually means a long ride home and not getting laid for a few days
