Had the pleasure see this guy several times up close when he was in the Dixie Dregs in the late 70's early 80's. Steve is classically trained. I think he is still playing for Deep Purple now. Very versatile. Has some of the biggest hands I have ever seen. I think I judge being the best by being able to play many different styles and all at an above average standard.
