I've got a Penn Slammer 260 that I love, holds 300yds. of 10# Fireline, has a good line roller, plus that great Penn drag.

I'm a big fan of the Fin Nor megadrag series for my light rods for schoolies (I have 7-8 of the old models). Great drag, solid reel, and a feature for quick change of spools. The company went under a few years ago and finally got back on its feet with Zebco, the company that owns Van Staal. The new reel just came out, and it is quite different than the old, but is definitely much better built. Just picked up a 2000 on Ebay for $120+, broke it down and compared to the old, and I'm impressed. It spools about 100 yards of 10 pp (with backing). Thinking of getting a 3000 (the next size up), the same place is selling them for about $125+. Good luck!
