Since you are adament my money (thats what government spending is, OUR money) should be spent on AIDS in Africa, instead of taking a stand on a fishing site, how much of your money do you donate to AIDS in Africa if it is so impiortant to you? Are you sending your kids their to volunteer like Bart's sister?

Good for Bart's sister - thats great.

I donate a lot to various charities (but haven't donated specifically to Aids in Africa). Donating to people who are less fortunate than myself is important and that's why I don't mind if the country donates $. I give what I can.

The American public thru our reps have decided that as a prosperous country, we have a moral obligation to help out people who are less fortunate as ourselves. As you seem to see things differently, you can always write your reps to tell them to stop or run for office yourself.

Plenty of those right here in the USA....after they are taken care of I have absolutely no issue with helping other countries with there problems.
