If that doesn't work out, try trapping them on your own. More than enough spots in CT with giant eels. I'm gonna give it a go in a month or so. Horseshoe crabs work great for bait, but I'm not sure if it's still legal to use them. Anyone?
They can be had, talk to a shop owner that you do business with. Ask him to save a few large ones for you. Potting on your own can get you some nice ones.
