Raven! You are too funny! No it was more like too many things on my mind and the next thing I knew the tip of my finger felt restrained! then pinched... So my first and only reaction was to yank my hand back and yes the door closed all the way so I was literally ripping the already squished fingertip through that tiny space....

Funny that most of the purple has gone away from under the nail but the "pressure" feeling is still there????

You probably broke the tip. Tape half a popsicle stick to it for a coupla weeks, worked for me.
I've managed to break a finger and give myself a black eye with car doors...

Glad to hear I am not the only one who can pull off these wonderfull acts of clumsiness!

I really didnt think I broke it because I can do most things with it still with only minimal pain but then I will hit it "just right" and yeee0oooowwww.......so now you have me wondering.....its definately under the nail area so I am hoping the nail acts like a bit of support...
