Fishing and not catching is better than raking leaves...
Just rolled back in from a jaunt out to the South River @ the Rexham beach parking lot It is so funny that a fishing report can get so many guys fishing the same spot.
We were gonna fish @ the mouth of the South river @ the Air Force "campground" and thats where we should have tried. Weird how we are swayed by reports that have NO merit even when we know better.
It was nice to go to the beach and think of things to come but we still have a wait ahead before things pick up. One skipper size bass last noc but no hurry to beat the North or South rivers....

Probably a week or so, fishing in and around Onset/ Wareham has been hit or miss and in my personal experience Marshfield/Duxbury has been a week or so behind. Good Luck!

Saw some life in Dux bay yesterday afternoon. I didn't catch anything not even a strike. My fish ear is still in tune though cuz I heard some slaps and then had a few visual confirmations of fish hitting the surface a few times. Still early but it seems to be a bit behind from last year. I'm going to scout some more with the skiff in the next couple of weeks mostly in Dux bay. Spoke to a guy on the bridge and he said small schoolies have been caught on clam necks. I can't wait for the first big push through.

I was down in Duxbury on Sat. afternoon for about an hour.
I didn't get an fish, but had visual confirmation that there are some herring in the bay, as well as at least one striper. I saw one decent boil close to shore after a herring broke the surface.
It's getting close, I can smell it.
