I wonder if there could be any legal ramifications, based on who's responsible for that marker. The neighbors comments make it sound like he had theem installed. I would be interested in knowing if there were any recourse, such as a lawsuit for "reckless endangerment" for purposely leaving such a dangerous item sticking out of the ground.

You could always reply with a "So, this was YOUR fault. Let me discuss this with my attorney." and see how he feels about your removing the dangerous "item".

It's idiots like that that really tick me off.
No compassion that your pet was injured, or that they may be responsible in some way. They're only concerned with that stupid marker because they can't control their "land". What a turd.

I hope Star makes a complete recovery.
