Just called 2 other local dealerships and they have them in stock.....fronts are about 75.00 and rears are about 65.00.
What the dealership told my wife was that there was "something" on the pads and that if she wanted to get rid of the sqeaking sound she needed to replace the pads,,,,her cost!!!!!! Sounds to me like they are looking to remedy the situation and still make a buck!

something on the pads?
well it better had not be brake fluid?
because that part is covered under warranty
if something broke
that is... brake fluid wise..
even though the pads are not...
but if a part breakage caused a leak....... they are liable
it would seeem to me
but,,,thats a tough call now...

nope brakes sometimes squeek
then it goes away...
maybe theres more squeekable material when the pads
are worn down by 20,000 miles ...and i am not trying
to make a joke...by saying that...
usually squeaks are metal to metal.....

dealership question
yeah when they are out of them they'd order from the company i was driving parts for.....they'd have them within an hour
i delivered to plenty of dealerships.... because they wanted the better quality brake pad we stocked..

Its the squeak that is driving Angie crazy...and no I did not spray anything on them......the car does feel like it shudders a bit when I stop it?? I will be picking the car up so I will ask them about the pads....how much life is left on them etc.

If the car "shudders" a bit when stopping, make sure the rotors are okay and not warpped. They can warp if they don't get enough air cooling and then wear the pads prematurely. Common Chrysler/Jeep problem.
