Catching a 47 pound bass
early in the season
on a plug
and knowing the person who makes the plug
priceless

No picture, unfortunately. As the season gets going, I'm always set up with a time delay "system" I worked out. But I quite frankly wasn't expecting this fish this early and I didn't bring it along.

Certainly wasn't worth killing it for a pic either!

Numby is the plug maker of the year in my book and the two of them are two of the best bass men to prowl Cape Cod and the islands.

LOL. The guy is one of you effing eel fisherman. You know the first thought he had when he landed that fish was "CRAP! If I'd been using an eel I could have gotten a bigger one".

Nice catch.

A great marketing line would be "guaranteed to catch a 47 pounder". If anyone tries to return, just say you need to give it more time.

A fish like that is a trophy.

From shore, and on a plug!

WOW, It really doesn't get better than that.

Nice job guys.

Top plug is what he used, shown with a BM large Danny for scale. His plug, however, uses a midslot Lefty lip, unlike the one pictured. Nothing magical about the plug. I'm sure the fish would have nailed the ancient plastic white A 40 he usually uses instead.

If nothing "magical", then maybe its the talent on the other end of the line??

Awesome..
Numbskull is no dummy when it comes to making plugs.
He is a hard worker, diligent in finding out what makes certain plugs tick. His insight is of great value when he shares.I read all his post's on the matter with great attention. It can be humbling to find out how much I actually know about plugs. The real nice fish SK caught is just more proof..
Nice Job..
