That is incredibly bad, but considering I've had the experience of carrying my mother (who can't walk) out of their burning house just be thankfull nobody was hurt...

Paul, if he can use Linux I can put a decent machine together for him. I just don't have any spare copies of Windows to legally put on a machine.

OMG!! Thats terrible one of my worst nightmares is to lose my home to fire.Dam shame Craig and i'm deeply saddend by your loss.Like some have said before me your luck is not all bad your family and yourself escaped harm.
