Patrick, I know people like you and you are highly respected in the fishing community, but experienced fishermen denigrating novices bothers me. Maybe trying to help the guy would have worked better. If you had shared your knowledge of the tide with him, he may have remained dry and you could have gone on catching fish for another hour before he tried to get to the bar. Or maybe not. You'll never know. Either way, it is sad to see a man of your prominence in the fishing community get sucked into trying to graze some guy's ear with a Roberts plug. Better to leave that crap for fools like me.
