The problem Tim is how we got to this point. Where to you draw the line?? And more importantly, when did our society come to the point that kids have access to guns in the first place? If you ask me, parents need to be held accountable for their kids actions. If a kid brings a gun to school, not only is the kid punnished, but the parents should face a financial fine- say $500 for putting the school's population at risk. Parents dont like it? keep the guns and bullets locked up. Same with drugs.. kid gets busted with drugs... $500 fine. Money goes back into the school system.

Im not saying this specific case we're talking about should be a reflection of the parents, but the gun problem in general.

some time around the 1700's i believe. kids were givin a gun at the age of 6 or 7 and taught how to use it to hunt and protect their families.. kind of funny how 200 years later we have made taboo to give a kid a gun, and yet the "child" related gun casualties are rising.
thats some damn good forward progression if i've ever seen it.

and the fault lies with the parents. parents these days seem to be trying so hard to alleviate themselves of the burden of children. and who can blame them? theres simply no time to raise a proper family these days. every day is just go go go go go go make money make money make money make money. hell from what i'm seeing weekends are starting to come to end. most people i know are working weekends to some end. especially anyone under the age of 30. and last i knew the typical baby having age was some where around 26. which has been pushed back over the millenia from 14. kinda funny how the people of the old world seemed far more mature and had younger parents.. ofcourse that wont work these days.. because its all about being financially secure and you just cant be that at that age these days...

its beyond a solution at this point. until robo nannies are invented. parents dont have time their kids. and its not truly the parents fault (in most cases). for those of you that can and do make time for your kids more power to you. but realize yer a dying breed. there is no room for family in todays world.
