Yo, yeah, I caught two keepers today at the ditch. Herrings were there. Went to Cotuit and got skunked and broke my rod's tips. Went to see mIkecc and got it fixed and had a short chat withhim. I decided to head to the ditch. I didn't expect to land my first keeper of the season after three days straight of skunkage. The first one was a 28.5 inches that I hooked it on a pt. Jude sandeel. I released it because it didn't feel right to keep it. I don't think that it was worthy for me to brag. Then I tried using other stuffs like plastics and poppers. I switched to 2 oz pt. jude nautlis. After three casts, I hooked a 36 inches and 20 lbs bass. Drove and weighed it at M&D's. Man, it felt so awesome. I have been waiting for something like this since I was 18 years old and starting out. Five years of waiting. MikeCC has a picture of it. I think. My picture isn't the best, but hopefully it will make you guys to be more hungry for it.

Fishing has been nothing short of Great -

With so much bunker around, I'm waiting to see one pop-up in my toilet !!

OK, short story. Shore-Fishing this morning in the weeeeee hours, checked the usual spots for pogy dancing, found a big herd of them doing the circle dance. I tie on a brand spank-N new pogy snagger and toss her in. I normally let the line tighten and feel for at least the first bump on the line to make sure I'm in em' when I can't really see em'...................so OK, plop goes the snagger,................the line tightens.............it BUMPS...............I SNAG........................................and then..........WHOAH!!!!!!.......I end up landing a 20# fish with the snagger stuck IN the mouth. I never had a chance to snag the pogy, I'm guessing either mistaken identity, or my shiny pogy snagger looked apetizing to the fish. In either case, nice battle from a VERY fat fish. What a great way to start a fantastic morning of fishing. . .. ..

I must say this, I'm VERY impressed and EXCITED about the girth on these fish. It's great that the bunker seem to be back, but it's even greater to see FAT BASS feeding locally and not those skinny racers that were usually the norm a few years back.

fishAholeic, Irsih Spring/Palmolive and a Gob of that Orange Citrus hand cleaner........and my wife still can't get the smell of pogys off my hands...................AIN'T LIFE GRAND

...it finally happened, there are no more secret spots

I havent been out much at all, but I did catch my first keeper at the canal on Sunday.. only 32", but it was a nice feeling.

Brought two guys who dont normally fish too much, they both caught a couple schoolies as well. So it was ok

going out with Riptide charters on Tues... then prolly hitting the race or somewhere out there next Friday..
