Believe it or not most rods found are returned. I found a 10weight orvis flyrod with Tibor everglades fly reel and found its owner. I wish I would have read this yesterday, I was out there last night, I would have taken a look. If I hear of it I will give you a heads up.
Also, the above advice is good, contact the shops. Further contact Nelson Seigleman at the MVTIMES at
nelson@mvtimes.com and he will put a mention in the paper in the gone fishing column for you.
IMO it is better then 50/50 that you get it back. There is always the chance that a dirt-bag walks off with it but most fisherman are decent guys when it comes to returning gear I found.
