i was wondering when you would show up and unleash a ruthless bashing... just wait.. it's almost time for my spot to heat up... my revenge will be swift and sweet. and just for the record the card is mine.. she just cosigned. (and then started using it and maxed it out in like 2 weeks. ) at least i'm allowed to buy new gear and not hafta sneak it in and then when caught lie and say it costs $5.

now stop derailing the guys thread. (i apologize in advance for participation. but i cant let SW poke shots at me. i just cant. and msal... buy $50 worth of bait and this is the thanks i get. you siding with jim? )

Why not try a cabo or boca Quatum 50 with a 9 foot St. Croix rod- Triumph series- and 20 pound test Ande backcountry mono. ADICE--- stay away from braided line no matter who tells you different. And, don't buy a shimano reel for the surf. They are not made for this type of fishing, even the more expensive ones. Believe me, I work at a tackle store and we have a reel repair dept. You would not believe the reels that come in for service and repair, I very rarely see Quatums. Also the aforementioned outfit won't break the bank. Finally, consider buying waders also if you want to surf fish correctly.Forget about conventional unless you have alot of money and patience.
