I got rocked by the Chemical-Explosion today!!!!!

I live 1 street over from technic and seen and heard it all, BOOM- pretty scary-

My whole neighbor hood was evacuated- My house first since it is very close to the plant. we was just allowed back home around 12:45pm Around 9:30 AM Cops door to door saying "COME ON YOU GOTTA GET OUTTA HERE, NOW!! Grab a coat and go!!!" you could smell it in the air and i never seen so many cops in my life. Cranston, Wariwck, Johnston, Prov you name it they had a team here.

All is Ok now but i the cops are saying to stay inside w/ all windows closed because it's still in the air and since i live so close to it they said we should get checked soon.


That really sucked, esspecialy on a snowy day with cop cars going 100mph and skidding and hitting phone poles and acting like it didn't happen (yes this is true!)


Just thought i would give you all an update on this crazy even that happen pretty much in my back yard!!! wish me luck

I know a member here"Uffah!!" lives close to me and i'm sure he got kicked out to..

This place is crazy- i want to see the damage but theres so many news trucks and cop cars still they wont let anyone over there. Closest i got was that new Contruction Building- they was guys in these booths getting rinsed off and guys in chemical suits- Looks like something in a movie.

I just hope i didn't inhale anything-- I could certainly smell something---- Since i live so close we desided it's best to go see a DR ASAP- we are schedualed for 5pm i will let yas know howwe all make out



Anyone else in this area or drove by it today?

They use those chemicals in the plating industries. Cyanide is used so the plating will stick to whtever they are plating. To different chemicals mixed together make the Potassium Cyanide.
Thats what they were afraid of,and thats why they told us to leave this morning.

"Uffah" I live over near Pleasant and Sabre st- meaning that's right in my back yard pretty much. I have that new constuction building in sight- I heard all the 'crap' and was too close for comfort... Way to close!
again the cops told us to get checked because we life SO CLOSE- i hope i don't grow another arm and 8 eyes from them chemicals (hahah,Kidding) It's not a joking matter tho....
