braid-friendly if fishing plugs(which is really what this rod is meant to do), if throwing eels you'd be better off with mono. i have the larger guides on it for both applications.. |

I had mine out today throwing Afterhours spooks, and pencils and some othe 2-3oz stuff. Nice rod.
