mako 19

mako goes goood. i love it. been out fri sat and sunday. she moves pretty good with the 110 even better is the merc kicker i got from mike. I went to pojac pt. and back today from deep inside eg cove and used just about one gal of fuel. oh yeah its perrrfect. haha. little rough out there the mako handled the seas like a champ. these boats are solid. still in the process of cutting the 24' mako they made these boats nice back then. hulls are thick. heres a few pics

I have had two 19 makos. They are great boats. They ride like champs. Good luck

I've got a 1983 21B. I almost sold her... for a 25 Mako. But with gas the way it is, glad I kept her !

First photo really shows how great the beam is!

I have a 1973 20'. Everything is the same as the 19' minus the transom. Bought her over the winter and haven't stopped working on it. She hasn't touched water yet this season due the amount of fishing I have been doing but soon enough.

I might raise the transom in a few years and add a custom built bimini top. my buddy makes them. have been thinking about closing off the stern completely and doing re-power with a hull extension, along with a new deck (when it finally goes, good for another 5-10yrs I bet) thats not for a while, $$$$$ she goes good enough for now. still havent gotten a bass in the boat all bloos. me and I/G caught up with mr Clammer on the water this weekend, nice seein ya out there mike

gotta get a new S-B sticker for the boat (cough, cough...john)

The glass lasts forever, it's the wood cores that fail as you mention.

not really. Dont get me wrong, that is a sweet ride, but at this point in my life I am just too busy to use that boat properly. I have a 3 year old, own my own business that is on the cusp of some huge stuff, and i am not a morning person... For now i will surfcast and kayak.. in a year or 2 i will probably pick up an 18' maritime skiff and throw a 90 4-stroke on the back, or buy a J-35 or some other fun and fast sailboat and live on it at cuttyhunk for weeks at a time and stay true to my surfcasting roots...

It was hard finding that boat, but its only a boat..
