I usually use the fluke belly with a couple of sandeels, but have friends who use any kind of belly strip and they do well.

I start with squid, and right after I get one fluke I strip him up for bait. And good for day!
If I am going fishing the next day I save fluke strips to start the next day off with till I get another. I buy very very very little bait for Fluking, 1 squid and you are off!
