If/When the Bait turns Shoreward...........

with all these boats banging BIG stripers, then

would most sharpies agree that we COULD see
upwards of 65#-75# from the shore??

i know, i know,,,,,,,,,,,,,conditions permitting.
i just have this feeling that something HUGE is gonna
break ~~when and IF things become more favorable
from a shore perspective. seems hard to believe that last year
was so abnormal as not to repeat with even Lahhhgah results.

THIS Fall, could be one for the record books from the rocks, eh gentleman?

not tooo promising thus far, but what say ye
should the bait turn towards our majestic shores??

One can only hope BUT the bait is so thick offshore that I doubt it is going to happen. They have everything they want; tons of bait cool waters, no seals, etc.

It happened in 2006 mid/late september with many upper 40# class fish. Maybe again this year, who knows...

it happened last year for Luds and Clogston, multiple 40's from shore

now if you are talking 50, 60's, and 70's... I sure as hell hope you're right!
a 62.833333333333333 pounder from shore would beat that 75.4 pounder from the boat! (aren't I good at math? )

YESSS!!!

Rockport, that IS what i'm talking about.

it just stands to reason that the "multiple 40's" from last year,
should be between 50 and 60 this season................

and the 50's from last year, should be the
and the 60's from last year, should be the
and son, and so on, and so........

would love to SEE and BANG a break in the current
nonaction that is taking place on the NShore. its prolly me, but
i can't seem to find SHEEEET from tha shore. i know that it will
improve,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,the WAIT is killing me in the process.

ahhhh but when angling success does come,
i WILL appreciate it that much more

stay focused

it's a shame to see these boat guys hammering them and shore guys with flurries of success, if any at all. maybe with the recent tropical storms/ hurricanse, there'll be a scattering of bait.

only thing you can do is choose spots wisely and wet a line.

for MS is a must do, prolly have to join MSBA or sumthin'

am going to Rhody in a couple a three weeks or so,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
work sched permitting. would much rather hit up my NShore haunts.

god i hope so, last year I didnt feel there was much of a "run". Just some scattered blitzes and some decent fishing. I would like to see a nice late sept/oct rush of big fish.

DEJA VU or here we go again

I guess i was part of the last bass thinning. Same thing happening all over again. The monster bass seem to be the last to go and when there gone it will be another 15-20 years to bring them back. I remember the 80,s when i could run down to the water, catch bait, catch at least two40lbers and be home in 3 1/2-4 hrs and not seeing any small fish. I M O we need a slot fishery with a top size as well as a short size with one large fish per person over the top size that way the commercials will get there fish and the recreational guys will be able to get a trophy.

It might just be a co-inky-dink but the local harbor happened to fill up with schools of bass (some bigger ones) in the last day or two after Berthas swells. Have not had a chance to get out to the rocks yet due to works stranglehold on me. Fish were agressive and hungry late yesterday so we may be turning the corner- finally!

I hate summers/falls with consistent big swells and tropical storm passes.
I find it pushes the migratory bait offshore.

Unlikely. Boats will be winners when it comes to the real big ones this year. Inshore water is very warm, bait is plentiful offshore.

You want big bass? Fish offshore with big bait.

Or fish in fresh water: replace U with www.youtube.com
