Fishaddict Hi..I'm Bob and I have an addiction iTrader: (0) Join Date: Oct 2002 Location: Mass Posts: 171	Depends... Joe.. depends on the rod... if it's a fast taper rod.. chances are it's gonna need a big reel seat.. I'm doing the same thing to one of mine now.. It's an older MB96.. and it worked well... After bonding the seat to the blank, I put on a double layer of cork tape.. turned out sweet... Good luck Bob
