Maine Update

Good news bad news. Arrived on the beach 1:00PM Thursday and fished unsuccessfully the entire outgoing tide. Came back 5:30AM on Friday and fished the entire incoming. Caught two fish!!! The second at dead high was about 20" which isn't bad for Maine this time of year. The bride calls me on Friday night to tell me she's sick and can't come up. We agree that I'll fish in the AM on Saturday and head home. I decide to be a good husband, not fish at all and come home early Saturday morning. She feels better and heads up to Maine knowing I'll be on the beach. I would have called on the cell phone but didn't want to wake her. You guessed it. We must have passed each other somewhere around Norwood. She ended up in Maine and I ended up at home in Stoughton. I hear Saturday was extremely windy (part of the reason I opted to come home early) but Sunday was perfect. I'll be heading back to Maine on Thursday night and won't be coming home for any reason until Sunday.

Good to hear that the ice has finally broken in Maine!!! MartyK, just remind your wife about how thoughtful you were when you chose her health over fishing, will get you alot of miles as long as you don't mention the part about the lousy wind <img src="/Images/biggrin.gif"><!--e7-->

John, this has already guaranteed me endless extra fishing hours, and yes, the wind issue will never come up.
