I wear the medium AS bag on a wider belt I got from a dive shop. I slide it from side to back as I fish. Hooks get caught all the time. I keep a pin with a handle in the bag now so when they get caught I stick the pin in with the hook and make room for the barb to back out. I wish I carried this in the past. It works a lot better than the method they use in the emergency room : )

still by the firelight
and purple moonlight
I hear the rusted river's call

I've had the same problems with the hooks getting caught inside the AS, but it is an quick fix with a good set of cutters on your pliers. It does not happen often but occasionally. I prefer the shoulder strap to the belt which may sway my opinion. For the price you can't beat the AS. With VS you get what you pay for, but for me that is just too expensive.
