Black Night/ White Needle
Fishing was better tonight than last night. Did 13 ( is that a Baker's dozen?) Several small legals in the mix and this one at 21 lbs. This picture is a good example of why when I catch fish and have thier picture taken w/ me holding it they don't look as big, oh well, the trials of being a pituitary freak.
The gentleman fly fishing near me was doing okay as well and allowed me to rake his picture, didn't catch his name.

Nice fish and if a fish looked big next to you it would have to be a minimum of 60lbs.

Is that the "white bucket" equivalent for a fly fisherman?
Interesting thing strapped to his waist...curious what it's for?

It's for making sure your line shoots to the stripping guide in a tangled mass about every second or third cast.

Perfect tooth impression of a seal, small round punctures. Looked infected too, the whole section was in distress and discolored.

Nope, it's a Needlefish. And jigs count as lures as well and I do use them often in the canal and a few other places while surfcasting.

In Rhode Island, Flap, we call that a perfect night
I've gotta admit, though, it's been many moons since I last walked among the Sand People...
