I use a 6x 4/0 and wolverine split ring (you need to change the hook often, or even better take it off each time). The 6x because there is a real chance at a very substantial fish with the thing (it ends up about 12-14" long). Had a lot of tail tangling issues with the second hook. Tried the heavy mono stiffener trick, but didn't make much difference.
