Ahem, in case you hadn't noticed, the British are already here!!
You never know, they may be able to lend you a light if needed......
As for myself, my loyalty from way back is to the Royal Marines who are always able to arrive by land AND by sea

I usually have 3. Princeton Tec around my neck, a spare Garrity LED in my fanny pack, and a headlamp apiece in my jig and plug bags.
And this is a guy who does 95% of his fishing in the Canal where there's a nav light every 1/10th of a mile

I lost a light one night when accessing the canal from the 100 steps. Took me about 20 minutes to make it back up to my vehicle in the pitch dark. Stumbled many times and almost broke a leg.
Now I carry two lights on one headband. Looks funny, but works fine.

It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole
Where all the fish is blind

I haven't done the 100 steps in years. That's why I have a bike, to access areas from the Run to the campground
