This early I think it can only help ,as slow as things are. It should mix up the water, lower the temps, shake up the bait (where ever it is) and it digs up the bottom. Lots of clams and crustaceans get displaced during a storm and the stripers come in to feed on them after the storm passes.

So Joe, you're telling me to go pick up some big sea clams that are gonna get washed up on Easton's Beach while they're still fresh and use them on a 7/0 hook to catch a large bass?

I thought so

Any easterly facing beach for that matter.

It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole
Where all the fish is blind
