I bought a 20 x 10 ft. net (3 1/2 inch stretched) and it is useless. It is way too small. I agree with the posts above to get the Comm. Lic. and pay the extra $30 for the net and get something with some length.

FYI....The permit being referred to is NOT A COMMERCIAL LISCENSE


IT is caqlled the Recreational Gill Net License and Sandman is dead on...there are rules and regs attached.

Do yourself fa favor and hook up with someone to see it done and learn a bit before you accidentally get yourself and others in trouble.

Mr. Basic Patrick, when I applied for the gill net permit I was told that I also had to have the commercial license, you could not just buy the gill net permit without the other.

Actually Patrick,
You get a gill net endorsement on your commercial boat permit,
same with striped bass being an endorsement on the boat permit.

Good point about hooking up with someone.
