Tog with the Clammer<><

We pull up to my spot that I've had consistant 5-6#ers..
I set up Clammers rig and get his crab on hook...I even tell him where to toss the crab...
I walk to front of boat to check anchor line and I hear: "How hard do Tog ^%$#@! fight??!!:
I reply: "What..are u hung up already??"
Clammer replies : "Does the ^%$# bottom fight back??!!"
I grab the net to help the old guy out...
Clammer with a nice 9#er,,,It's getting good.....Got Crabs????
Congrats on that Mike..........Bud

Nice Dave and Mike. My friend who works at WHOI has been getting them real good off the pier he works on at lunchtime. Not fair working at a machine shop on a pier over the water overlooking the Elizabeth's.

started spear fishing this year and have gotten to see some real monsters. havent shot any of them though, they are smarter than everyone has told me they are. best of the year so far
went a little over 7 pounds. came up over a ledge from some deeper water and ended up looking right at my face.

Well....yeah, I do but I got it from another guy in my club and I had to weasel it outta him by trading my wife's Smoked Bluefish Pate recipe for it. She doesn't give that to anyone...

Just use any good clam chowda recipe and substitute cubes of blackfish - oops, tog for off-islanders - just don't put it in until it's almost done or it will disintegrate.

What I do is use the rack in a kettle to make the stock for the chowda - it makes a huge difference. Just put the whole carcass into a pot and cook it down - then strain out the bones.

Or, I just heard a smart trick - put the whole rack in cheesecloth then all you gotta do is take out the sack with the bony bits in it.

Oh yeah - toss a few onions and some bay leaves in too when you're boiling it down.

The rest is classified....
