Cod
I going to try to get out on my boat for before the closure.
If the east wind lets up i'll probably make some offers to go to cover my fuel cost.

If I had a choice between Yankee Fleet and Raider Ron, I'd go with Yankee Fleet.

Eastman's out of Seabrook, NH would be a good bet for their 10/27/08 12-hour marthon trip. These trips have been producing good numbers of haddock and big pollack with a fair amount of cod. Need to have reservation, they limit the numbers with assigned spots.
The daily trips have been running mixed with hot days for haddock and pollack but not many cod.

Ron,
Pencil me in. Turkeyslayer/Picklesniffer- Give it a rest. RR has a great business and catches with the rest of the good ones.
S36- I have a cod rod you can borrow.

Turkeyslayer is obviously and Obama voter.
I too am interested, and I will keep a close eye on Matt and pick his backlashes and bait his hooks.

Having fished with Gauron for over 25 years I would have said this was true a few years ago but now their about the same in my opinion. The quality of the boats and the effort is about the same now. Plus, Eastmans has a few things going for it that Gauron has lost in recent years. Eastmans has free parking and you can put your equipment on the boat just about any time. This allows you to save the position you want and go off striper fishing till just before the boat goes. Eastman runs more 12-hour trips which are normally very good. Gauron is now 5 to park and the boat isn't at the dock until after 7 most mornings.
