Good news is a lot of the local populace will know how to talk the newbie Rays fans off the Ledge. What's the Tampa equivalent of the Tobin?

I listened to the game from the 2nd inning at the beach to home. After about the 7th I was nodding off and waking up every 10-20 seconds watching the game, wondering how much I missed and how long I was out. Can't be good for health to snore and wake up several times per minute. Was worth it though. And was asleep 20 seconds after Youk caught the ball (think it was him - twas a bit foggy in my brain)

this game is huge for tampa tonight. not so much for the players, but the organization. if they lose, the ground swell of fans and support down there will probably dry up pretty quick and they'll take a huge step back. they'll still have good players, but without people in the seats (they need to sell season tickets and luxury boxes) they'll start losing too much money and have to start looking to trade guys.

The went from the cellar to the attic in 1 year, I don't think it's cause for alarm if they lose. They don't have a huge salary base and everybody's going to want to go to the games now.

It could be the SOX-RAYs until the Yankmee's get new blood.
