Unless you are doing it for the fun of it, the $100 isn't worth it. You can walk to all the good fishing spots. I stopped getting the permit 10 years ago when it was $15. East beach, FPR you can walk to both. The only advantage I can see is the "soft side" of the 2 breachways.

Mike - don't go to Burlingame - the permits as of a couple weeks ago were all at the Stedman / Mcgrath Complex on RT 1 in Wakefield, RI.

I went over a couple weeks ago and all the passes were moved to the Wakefield office - I think they only take check or money order - the hours were 10-3pm:
